Kenyan designer dressing top music stars in the US

On his maiden performance in Africa, Jay-Z rocked the packed Diamond Jubilee Arena in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania  clad in blue Roca Wear jeans with the map of the world printed on his back pockets, a white t-shirt, golden suede Timbaland boots, and a navy blue Jamhuri Wear hooded sweatshirt with white bold letters reading TANZANIA and the national flag on the sleeve.

The Live 8 concerts were part of a campaign to get the world’s richest nations to cancel the debt, increase aid to developing countries and promote fair trade. That day Hov joined Linkin Park on-stage, appearing to “Public Service Announcement.” He and the band then ran through tracks from their 2004 collaborative project Collision Course, including “Numb/Encore,” “Jigga What/Faint,” “Dirt Off Your Shoulder/Lying From You” and “Big Pimpin’/Papercut.”
